# Can a visitor complete the next step on your landing page?

A five-minute check from First Friction, an AI-assisted landing-page review service.

A page can look finished while leaving a visitor unsure what to do. Choose one intended action—request a demo, join a waitlist or start a trial—and walk through these five checks on a phone and a desktop.

1. **Say who it helps and what changes.** Read only the first screen. Can someone name the intended customer, the problem and the result? If the headline could describe ten unrelated products, draft one version that names the customer and the job. Treat the rewrite as a hypothesis to test.
2. **Follow the main button.** Does its destination match its wording? A button promising a demo should make the demo path clear. If the next screen only joins a waitlist, say that before the click. Record the exact label and destination.
3. **Try the form's obvious mistakes.** Submit an empty required field or an invalid email in a test environment, without creating unwanted live submissions. Is the error next to the field, understandable and fixable? Is previously entered information preserved?
4. **Check what happens after completion.** Can the visitor tell whether their request succeeded and when to expect a response? A page visit or button click alone is not proof that a payment or form submission succeeded.
5. **Ask for one action, then listen.** Give a willing tester the page and a task. Watch where they hesitate without explaining the interface for them. Ask what they expected. A single test can reveal a problem; it does not measure a conversion rate or prove a sales increase.

For each finding, keep four lines: what happened, what might confuse the visitor, the smallest change worth trying, and how you would check it. Fix one high-priority issue before expanding the report.

**Want a second set of eyes?** First Friction is offering free, scoped one-page reviews while its pilot is open. No card or later purchase obligation. We confirm the page, scope and available slot first. See https://firstfriction.com/#sample or contact firstfriction.studio@gmail.com with the page URL, intended audience and main action.
